Intelafone offers the ability to access your Voicemail not only through the phone, but on the web as well! Away from home but expecting an important message? Use the following steps in order to access and listen to your Voicemail from anywhere that has access to the Internet!

If you are experiencing any of the following issues, your router or modem may need additional configuration:

- No audio

Incoming calls not ringing

Dropped calls

Nearly all issues can be resolved with these steps:

1)  Assign a static IP to your Intelafone adapter in your router

2)  Enable port forwarding and forward the following port ranges to the new static IP.  Make sure to forward the entire range of ports and not just the first and last port.                    

5004 -  65000 (UDP)

3)  If your router has a SIP ALG option we recommend disabling this.

 

4)  If you are using other VOIP devices on your network, please contact our support team so we can make sure the devices will not conflict and make appropriate configuration changes.

We can walk you through troubleshooting and/or use a remote support tool to log into your router and likely make all necessary changes for you.

Connecting Your Intelafone Adapter

To begin using your new Intelafone service, simply connect the Intelafone adapter to your router.  Within 5 minutes the adapter should configure itself and be ready to use.

1)  Phone - Plug your telephone into Phone Port 1 of the adapter.
2)  Internet - Plug the provided ethernet cable into the Internet port of your adapter.  Plug the other end of the ethernet cable into your router.
4)  Power - Plug the AC power adapter into the Intelafone adapter and plug it into an electrical outlet.

 

Congratulations!  Within 3-5 minutes, all lights on the Intelafone Adapter should be lit and you should be able to make and receive calls.

VoiceMail: To access your voicemail from your phone dial *123 then dial [Your 5 digit billing zip code] when prompted for your password.

To access your voicemail if you are away, dial and wait for the ring tones to stop then hit * and wait for password prompt. Then enter [Your 5 digit billing zip code]

Setting up voicemail / Record a greeting: You can setup voicemail via the web managment interface or by pressing 0 while in the voice mail system from your phone then just follow the prompts.

Digital faxing requires no other extra equipment. Intelafone supports documents and files in the following formats: Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word (doc, docx), HTML, Microsoft Excel (xls, xlsx), Rich Text Format (rtf), Text (txt), GIF Image (gif), JPEG Image (jpeg, jpg), Tagged Image File Format (tiff, tif). If you would like an inbound Digital Faxing number, Intelafone can provide one for $5 a month. When people fax that number it will automatically put the document in the email you associate with the Digital Faxing feature.

Use the following steps to get started with Digital Faxing!

 Click on that and the next screen will allow you to set up the Email Account that you want your inbound faxes on and of course, send a document to a any type of fax number.
